Job Purpose

Department: Human Resources
Reporting to: Head of Human Resources
Type of Contract: Fixed Term (1 year maternity cover)
Employment Type: Full time (40 hr/wk M-F)

ECFR is growing and we are looking for an experienced HR Coordinator to join our team and support us in our commitment to fostering a positive work culture and delivering a top-tier employee experience. This is an opportunity to become a key contributor, bringing your passion and expertise to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and payroll preparation.

You will coordinate a variety of tasks within the HR function, ensuring that employee queries are addressed in a timely manner. You will also collaborate closely with a multinational team and other stakeholders across the different legal entities ECFR has in Europe to enhance our operational efficiency.

You will succeed in this role if you are driven and have tons of energy to get work done! This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working with a high degree of ownership and has a mindset focused on continuous process improvement.

Person Specification

  • Degree in Business Administration or Human Resources Management
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a fast-paced, international environment.
  • Understanding of general human resources policies and procedures and employee relations.
  • Experience in payroll management is an advantage
  • Good knowledge of employment/labour laws
  • Excellent written and oral communication in English, other European language is an advantage.
  • Proficient in MS-Office and HRIS systems, knowledge of Personio is a plus.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with local law and regulations.
  • Address and resolve employee queries and issues in all day-to-day operational activities.
  • Provide HR support and guidance to line managers on operational tasks.
  • Foster employee satisfaction by resolving issues promptly and ensuring the people agenda is heard and implemented.
  • Manage offboarding process from start to end.
  • Manage documentation for current staff and consultants including contracts, legal documentation, and personal information as per GDPR and local regulations.
  • Maintenance of accurate employee records and the HR system.
  • Assist in development and implementation of human resources policies.
  • Monitor and evaluate the operation of existing procedures/policies and identify areas for improvement.
  • Assist in talent acquisition and development processes.
  • Manage payroll process in cooperation with HR team, payroll providers, and finance.
  • Ensure compliance with regional labour regulations in the HR mission.
  • Administer staff benefits.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary and multi-national team.
  • Excellent organisational skills, an eye for detail, reliable and quality-driven.
  • Pro-active and with a can-do attitude with a hands-on approach and problem solving.
  • High degree of ownership and customer focus.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Willingness and ability to occasionally travel to ECFR offices.
