Installation & Commissioning Site Supervisor

Installation & Commissioning Supervisor required for a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer/ project to be based in Germany.

Responsibilities

• Interface and focal point between local construction management and engineering home office for all electrical and instrumentation engineering issues
• Clarification of site queries with engineering home office
• Participate and contribute at site construction team meetings
• Support on site, trouble shooting, making small red markings in existing documentation or preparing new drawings (hook ups) as part of field engineering for solving issues
• Supporting the electrical engineering construction lead in supervision, quality and confirmation checks of the installation works, progress tracking and giving instructions for installation and mechanical completion (MC) for e.g.:

• Main electrical equipment, as MV/LV transformer, electrical container and its aux. equipment, panel for EHT system, etc.
• Main cable trays and secondary cable ways via wire mesh or conduits
• Installation of small steel structures, “Unistrut” and brackets
• Laying and connecting of potential equalisation cables
• Proper installation for the earthing and lightning protection system
• MV & LV power, control/signal and communication cables pulling and termination
• Preparation of gland plates for the container cut outs from below
• Installation of lighting fixtures, associated terminal boxes and equipment
• Installation of electrical heat tracing system
• Installation of local safety switches, local control stations (if required), emergency shutdown push buttons and socket outlet combinations in the field
• Installation of CCTV cameras and auxiliary equipment

• Support I&C Construction lead in supervision and instruction for Instrumentation Installation and Mechanical completion for e.g.:

• Field Instruments
• Automated Valves
• Analyser Sample Points, Cabinets
• Secondary Cable ways
• Single Cable Pulling and Wiring to field instruments
• Impulse lines, capillary tubes, heated tubes for analyser sampling
• Singlecore-, Multicore- and Fiber Optic Cable Pulling and Wiring to Package Units, LV Container, Analyser Container, Remote IO Panels, Filling Panel

• Ensure compliance with project standards and specifications.
• Report deficiencies regarding quality of the work, organise and address improvement measures
• Ensure and supervision of the preservation measures, as it will be defined by the equipment manuals
• Support clearance of construction punch items
• Support coordination of electrical engineering sub vendor representatives

Requirements

• 2 years+ experience with planning and/or supervision of electrical and instrumentation installation
• 2 years+ experience with usage of Siemens SIMOCODE, Siemens TIA-Portal, Thyristor Controller
• 2 years+ experience with field instruments
• 2 years+ experience with control valves
• 2 years+ pre-commissioning and Commissioning experience
• IEC and DIN Codes and Standards
• MS Office (MSACCESS, MSEXCEL, MSWORD)
• German/English language fluently. English reading and understanding especially due to the English documentation.
• Interpersonal and communication skills, hands on mentality, can do and problem-solving attitude, self-reliant and self-motivated, committed to project completion.
