The Inside Sales Manager
is accountable for managing the successful execution of sales initiatives, policies and programs for a specific location, in support of business plans and strategic objectives; and for pursuing new business to meet annual Company goals.
Responsibilities:
- Contribute and drive revenue delivery on target in accordance with committed annual plan
- Lead by example in maximizing sales at existing accounts and actively propose and negotiate opportunities for additional value-added sales and services
- Promote and maintain positive working relationships with customers and suppliers to achieve best exposure in the market
- Monitor, manage and/or resolve complex account issues in a cost-effective and timely manner
- Generate business opportunities, determine the need for cross-division teaming and external strategic partner/alliances to gain business
- Increase market share and retain OEM customers by leveraging FDH America’s capabilities
- Oversee preparation of sales quotations, sales orders, long-term/contract bids, contract language, part classification for investment, monthly metrics, annual customer forecasting/sales budgeting and customer service measurements
- Design and manage the team’s strategy and direction to deliver the quarterly and full year revenue goals and objectives
- Generate, maintain, and present strategic sales plans, account plans, sales funnels capture plans and order forecasts
- Provide timely forecasts of revenue, business capture, sales and orders booking, status of pursuits and proposals
- Interact and coordinate with internal departments including Customer Service, Purchasing, Finance, Quality and Operations
- Drive growth and exceed the sales plan through a balanced allocation of resources and sales strategy
- Create and maintain overall Customer Satisfaction through feedback & assurance of clear and consistent communication between the customer and the leadership team
- Review new contracts and contribute to the development of new business opportunities
- Develop business cases, proposal strategies and lead overall proposal activities for customers' Requests for Proposal
- Identify key customer challenges and drivers to transformation
- Collaborate and build strong relationships with internal teams and customers
- Interact professionally with other employees, customers, and suppliers
- Oversee customer order fulfillment functions, customer order review, order entry, expediting and customer service activities
- Perform other duties as assigned
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required with a preferred major in Business or related field
- 5+ years prior experience in Sales and Marketing
- 3+ years of business development, high-level account management, customer relationship management experience, or project and customer program management with established contacts
- Aerospace distribution experience (required)
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and engage employees across multiple teams.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and develop effective solutions.
- Able to demonstrate an ability to maintain strong, beneficial business relationships to produce sales
- Proven ability to mentor and motivate others to excellence in performance, and on-time and error-free productivity
- Ability to plan profitable sales and operational strategies to meet or exceed required goals
- Ability to effectively manage and develop others to successfully execute all critical functions of the Branch facility
- Maintain excellent organizational and time-management skills, with strong follow-through and perseverance to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Maintain excellent customer service skills with the ability to deal tactfully, confidently and ethically with both internal and external customers
- Ability to be detail-oriented and perform in-depth account research, if required
- Maintain clear and accurate data entry, documentation and reporting skills, as required
- Maintain strong competency working with integrated data systems, Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook and intermediate to advanced Word, Power Point and Excel (i.e., spreadsheets, formulas, importing and exporting of files, as applicable) as required
- Familiarity with aerospace industry quality compliance requirements, including AS9120, ASA100
