Your role and responsibilities
In this challenging position, your main task will be to realize and implement the local Motion strategy in the area of water & wastewater. As the new job holder, you will be responsible for the support and targeted processing of planners, engineering offices and end customers in a defined sales area in North-West Germany. We rely on your knowledge of our products such as frequency inverters, controls and motors, as well as your expertise in the water and wastewater sector. Join our motivated business development team to continue to grow together in the German water & wastewater market.
You are mainly responsible for:
- Leading technical and commercial negotiations with customers as well as identifying, prioritizing, supporting and expanding existing customers and acquiring new customers on a municipal and industrial level.
- Strong focus on new customer acquisition with a high proportion of cold calling activities and early identification of upcoming end customer projects.
- Technical consulting, product prequalification and training for planners, engineering offices, system integrators and end customers.
- Preparation and evaluation of customer, market and competitor information for decisions with short and long-term planning horizons in coordination with local management and fulfillment of budget targets according to order intake and margin.
- Comprehensive cooperation with the local sales unit and other local business units to increase joint W&WW end user projects, including active association work and organization, implementation and participation in specialist conferences, product presentations, regional trade fairs, marketing activities, training activities and exhibitions.
Qualifications for the role
- Successfully completed technical studies - preferably in the field of electrical engineering or electrical drive technology.
- Sound professional experience in field sales, especially in cold calling and sales of products requiring technical explanation - ideally frequency inverters.
- Very good knowledge of the water and wastewater industry as well as detailed product knowledge in the water and wastewater industry.
- You enjoy working at both municipal and industrial level and have no difficulty in building up a network there.
- You have a clear view of the essentials, are a strong communicator, assertive and hands-on.
- You are fluent in written and spoken German and English.
- Predominantly willing to travel (70-80%).
