Could you be the full-time Incoming Inspection Leader (f/m/d) in Hennigsdorf we’re looking for?
Your Future Role
2,100 colleagues from 46 countries, including 800 engineers, shape in Hennigsdorf the future of rail mobility. The locally developed, manufactured, and maintained product range includes high-speed, regional, and local trains, subways, as well as trams and light rail vehicles. Our product line Rolling Stock & Components offers products from the broadest portfolio in the rail industry. Our innovation focus is on green and smart solutions, including emission-free propulsion systems such as batteries and hydrogen. You’ll report to Site Supplier Quality Manager and lead a dedicated team of 11 inspectors.
We’ll look for you to:
- Collaborate with SPQD, SQ Serial Engineers, and Incoming Inspectors to ensure that control plans are defined and registered in the ERP system.
- Ensure that appropriate control keys (and associated rules) are implemented in the ERP system, with clear and documented sampling rules that are dynamically defined and updated.
- Define inspection instructions/checklists and make them available for inspectors.
- Establish and manage the process for maintaining and retaining records in incoming inspections.
- Train inspectors in procedures for inspection, tool calibration, record retention, NCR characterization, and ERP transactions, while ensuring compliance with these processes.
- Initiate external specialized process inspections or external laboratory tests as needed.
- Take responsibility for adapting control plans when NCRs are discovered at the entrance and in the production line.
- Actively participate in problem-solving processes.
- Establish effective communication regarding defects and their impact on parts availability to SQ Serial and Supply Chain as identified during incoming inspections.
- Plan and lead meetings for daily prioritization and task distribution within the team.
- Maintain and publish relevant KPIs and identify opportunities for performance improvement.
- Lead the incoming inspection team.
- Define the competence matrix for team members and plan training as needed.
- Comply with legal regulations concerning workplace safety, environmental protection, and fire safety.

- Technical degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Solid technical understanding.

- Experience in operational activities, documentation management & collaboration, and team working.
- Proficiency in German.
- Conversational level in English.
