Advise managers on all staff related matters and guide on employment law issues.
Case manage all discipline, grievance and counselling ensuring compliance with Company procedures, fairness, and reasonableness.
Conduct internal investigations where required, engaging appropriate internal resources and escalating high risk or criminal activity.
Monitor all employee relations issues, highlighting and identifying areas of concern, and taking effective countermeasures.
Recruitment
Support recruitment to ensure effective advertising of vacancies to attract the right calibre of staff.
Manage exit interviews, succession planning, and retention processes.
Provide Management with resourcing trend analysis data, proactively guiding them to take appropriate measures.
Monitor the hiring process ensuring all documentation and interviews comply with legal and ethical standards.
HR & Payroll Administration
Prepare employment contracts, letters, and any other employee-related documents.
Process all employee changes in Workday (HRIS).
Liaise with Global teams and third-party vendors for timely processing of monthly payroll and reporting.
Training and Development
Deliver and facilitate training programs and activities such as onboarding programs, performance appraisals, and people management.
Talent Management
Implement and support global Talent Management initiatives, customizing and executing them within the country.
Support and implement People Voice (employee survey) within the country, analyzing results and establishing improvement initiatives.
Conduct monthly visits to retail stores, engaging with the retail community and collecting feedback on people-related matters.
Organize relevant events within the country to build engagement and employee bonding.
Management Information
Utilize MI provided by core HR to highlight trends, monitor turnover, absence, employee satisfaction, and reward and benefit information.
Deliver monthly reports to key stakeholders on HR-related KPIs and trend analysis, with commentary outlining areas of focus.
Analyze information to ensure Management understands trends and make recommendations to enhance productivity and profitability.
Other
Share and learn best practices from HR communities in Germany and Switzerland.
Manage compensation and benefits for employees, including medical/insurance, leave, incentives, and salaries.
Respond timely to employee inquiries, ensuring service levels are maintained by third-party vendors when relevant.
Support the HR Europe team as needed.
Update and communicate changes in people policies to relevant personnel.
Stay informed on country regulations and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management.
A minimum of 5-6 years of generalist Human Resources experience with strong commercial awareness.
Strong knowledge of German (and ideally Swiss) labor regulations.
Experience in a global matrixed organization that is customer and sales-focused.
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills.
Ability to manage priorities and timelines, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Knowledge of people management theory and practices, including recruitment and selection, performance management, remuneration and benefits, German Works Councils, and industrial/employee relations.
Independent contributor comfortable working with minimal supervision.
Strong integrity with good problem-solving capabilities.
