HR Business Partner – Germany (m/w/d)

As an HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in aligning local and regional/Group HR needs with local business operations. This hands-on position requires a mix of tactical HR execution and relationship-building, ensuring compliance with labor laws while driving HR processes that support business success. While Germany is the primary focus, you will also provide support to our smaller sites in Austria and Switzerland as needed.

This is not just about following processes—it’s about influencing, problem-solving, and finding the right solutions at the right time. You will earn your place at the table by building trust with managers and guiding them through key HR initiatives.

This is a part-time role, requiring availability for 3 to 4 days per week.

What You Will Do

Tactical HR Business Partnering

1. Act as a trusted advisor to local management, providing hands-on HR support and guidance.
2. Build relationships with key stakeholders to drive alignment between business needs and Group HR policies.
3. Ensure smooth execution of HR processes, such as performance and salary reviews, recruitment, onboarding, and offboarding.
4. Gain buy-in for regional and Group HR initiatives, ensuring effective local implementation.
5. Influence managers and employees, fostering a culture of engagement and retention.
6. Provide HR support for Austria and Switzerland as needed.
7. Ensure compliance with German labor laws and coordinate with external legal advisors when necessary.

Operational HR & Administration

1. Oversee the full employee lifecycle, from hiring to exit.
2. Ensure a smooth onboarding experience and probationary period support.
3. Manage contracts, payroll coordination, benefits, time tracking, and leave management.
4. Maintain HR records and compliance in line with GDPR regulations.
5. Prepare reports and evaluations for business reviews, sustainability reporting, and HR analytics.
6. Drive the digitalization and continuous improvement of HR processes.

What will you bring?

1. Higher education in HR or a related field.
2. 3-5 years of experience in HR Business Partnering and/or HR administration.
3. Strong knowledge of German labor law (Austrian and Swiss regulations are a plus).
4. ️Fluent in German and English (written & spoken).
5. Hands-on, proactive, and solution-oriented mindset.
6. Strong interpersonal and influencing skills, with the ability to build credibility over time.
7. Independent and self-motivated, comfortable reporting to an off-site HR Manager while working closely with the local leadership team.
8. ️Strong technical skills in HRIS, LMS, candidate-tracking systems, and Microsoft Office.
