We are looking for a Head of Sustainability Strategy Consulting (f/m/d) for our location in Berlin. This role will drive our newly established sustainability consulting practice, hosted in the HRT Division, and will oversee the Strategy Consulting business for GEA globally.
Key responsibilities:
Strategic leadership and business development:
Develop and execute the overall strategy for the sustainability consulting business
Establish and maintain thought leadership in sustainability through speaking engagements, publications, and networking
Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the sustainability strategy consulting business
Develop proposals and lead business development efforts to secure new client engagements
Lead the creation and implementation of sustainability strategies, including innovative solutions tailored to client needs
Collaborate with sales teams within GEA (across five Divisions and all R&Cs) to offer comprehensive solutions to clients
Manage and govern the Sustainability Strategy Consulting department, including reporting requirements
Team leadership:
Lead, mentor, and develop a team of sustainability consultants, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
Recruit and retain top talent, ensuring the team has the skills and capabilities to meet evolving client needs
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team
Develop future leaders for GEA with a sustainability mindset and diverse skillset
Market and Industry leadership:
Stay abreast of emerging trends, regulations, and best practices in sustainability
Conduct market research to identify opportunities for innovation and growth in sustainability strategy consulting
Provide insights and recommendations to clients based on industry trends and data analysis
Your profile and qualifications:
Master's Degree/Diploma in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics, Technical Informatics, Mechatronics, or Technology Management; Master of Business Administration degree is an advantage
Minimum of 10 years of experience in sustainability consulting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
Strong track record in developing and implementing sustainability strategies.
Demonstrated management and leadership experience in complex matrix organizations
Good knowledge of corporate governance and business planning tools and practices
Fluency in English; knowledge of German is an advantage
Proven leadership skills to develop and coach direct and indirect employees and to build a motivated and high-performing team
Strong business development skills with experience in securing and managing client engagements
Strong analytical skills and a problem-solving attitude
Ability to think and plan strategically
Strong change management skills
