ProtoPie is widely used by various companies all over the world across many industries, e.g., Google, Microsoft, Meta, Nintendo, BMW, Samsung, Tencent, Reddit, Bytedance, and Disney. Plus, ProtoPie won no.1 Advanced Prototyping tool in the UX Tools 2022 Design Tools Survey.

About the role

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Sales, EMEA, with a proven track record in B2B SaaS sales and a “player, coach” attitude to join our innovative startup.

In this leadership position, you will drive the acquisition of new business and the expansion of existing direct accounts across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Ideal candidates will be based in the UK or Germany.

This is a hands-on, quota-carrying leadership role requiring strong sales expertise, people management skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced startup.

ProtoPie is a design tool, so while you don’t need to be an expert from day one, familiarity with our product is essential. A willingness to learn quickly and help your team navigate and leverage the product is key to success.

Responsibilities

  1. Current Accounts:
    • Build and strengthen relationships with existing clients to identify and close expansion/ upselling opportunities.
  2. New Accounts:
    • Lead expansion initiatives within the current industry.
    • Identify and capitalize on new revenue streams in untapped/ new markets.
    • Drive both horizontal and vertical growth within industries and across companies.
  3. Team Leadership:
    • Lead and mentor a high-performing sales team in a fast-moving startup environment.
    • Develop team members through coaching, performance feedback, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
    • Encourage problem-solving and resourcefulness, ensuring your team adapts quickly and effectively to changing circumstances.
  4. Navigating A Fast-Paced Startup:
    • Be comfortable with and able to thrive in a startup environment where strategies and priorities may evolve rapidly.
    • Use creativity and resourcefulness to solve problems and adapt sales strategies as needed.
    • Ensure your team remains agile and aligned with company goals.

Qualifications

Must

  1. 10+ years of experience in B2B SaaS sales or account management, with a proven track record of leadership and success in a startup or fast-growth environment.
  2. Experience in the automotive or hardware (H/W) industry.
  3. Strong people management experience, focusing on coaching, developing, and leading teams through growth and change.
  4. Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and navigate challenges with minimal oversight.
  6. Exceptional time management, multitasking, and prioritization skills.
  7. Open to international travel with no restrictions.
  8. Fluent in English, as it is the primary language used.

Plus

  1. Familiarity with the digital product design process.
  2. Experience with design tools like Figma, Unity, or other UI/UX tools.

Working Arrangements

  1. Flexible working hours (Generally from 10 AM to 7 PM).
  2. Full-time position (during the first 3 months—the probation period, the employee will receive 100% of their salary).
