The Role

We are seeking a strategic Head of Marketing for Europe to lead and assist our client's in-country marketing teams to generate and maintain brand traction across the European region.

The role has ownership of local/regional awareness-driving activities, culture marketing, social media and community initiatives.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of building and scaling Brand Development in start-up or scale-up type of organisation with great ROI on invested budget. Experience in making brand-impact in more than one European large market is a must. The ideal candidate has experience in work in cross-functional and multinational teams.

This role will report to the General Manager for Europe and will work very closely with global and in-country marketing functions.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Developing and implementing brand strategies. You will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that promote the company’s brand and message across multiple markets in Europe.
  2. Driving consistency across all touchpoints in the marketing funnel with sufficient local market relevance, overseeing marketing campaign development across channels.
  3. Craft and execute a comprehensive local/regional marketing strategy at the brand, category and product level.
  4. Build a bridge between global marketing functions and regional marketing teams for optimised local results while aligning closely to global brand objectives.
  5. Develop and track key metrics to assess the effectiveness of marketing strategies, making data-driven decisions to enhance performance.
  6. Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring optimal allocation of resources for maximum impact and ROI.
  7. Build, manage, and coach a high-performing marketing team, fostering a culture of innovation, efficiency, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  1. Proven experience as a Brand Builder across multiple (European) markets in a nonconventional way.
  2. Demonstrable success in scaling businesses and maximising marketing ROI, particularly in the consumer tech industry.
  3. Solid understanding of partnerships in a B2B and B2C business environment.
  4. Strong leadership skills to inspire and lead cross-functional teams and effectively communicate the company’s vision and goals.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of forging strong relationships with partners, stakeholders, and teams.
  6. Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable in rapidly evolving environments.
  7. Fluent in English, with good understanding of other European languages desirable.
