Role Summary
As Head of Fundraising (all genders) at ProVeg Germany, you will be responsible for the strategic development and implementation of our fundraising activities. You will leverage your strong network and experience in securing grants and donations to secure sustainable funding sources. You will work closely with international colleagues and lead a small but dedicated team. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with the German Corporate and Institutional Engagement Team, the Policy Team, and the Communications Team to strategically align fundraising with other key areas. Through your work, you will make a direct contribution to the transformation of the food system.

Responsibilities
- Team Leadership: You will lead the fundraising team (currently five full-time employees) with a focus on impact orientation and results-driven collaboration.
- Fundraising Strategy: You will develop and implement a data-driven fundraising strategy targeting institutional donors, foundations, and major donors.
- International Collaboration: You will closely align with international teams to integrate and promote global strategies.
- Donor Relations: You will maintain and expand long-term relationships with existing and new donors, including individual care for major donors with specific expectations.
- Strategic Cooperation: You will work closely with the German Corporate and Institutional Engagement Team, the Policy Team, and the Comms Team to align joint strategies.
- Performance Optimization: You will develop and optimize fundraising performance based on data-driven analysis and report regularly to the management team.
- Market Monitoring: You will observe the fundraising landscape and identify trends to continuously adapt the fundraising strategy and ensure long-term success.
Qualifications
- You have over 5 years of experience in fundraising, particularly with institutional donors, foundations, and major donors.
- You hold a Master's degree or an equivalent qualification, preferably in Nonprofit Management, Social Sciences, or Environmental/Sustainability/Nutrition Sciences.
- You have a proven track record in securing significant funds in the five- to six-figure range and are experienced in donor relations.
- You have in-depth knowledge of fundraising trends in Germany and Europe and a strong understanding of effective altruism.
- You possess excellent communication and persuasion skills, with a charismatic and proactive presence.
- You have leadership experience and demonstrate outstanding project management and organizational skills.
- You are highly analytical and can evaluate and optimize fundraising efforts based on data.
- You have excellent written and spoken proficiency in both German and English.
- You are passionate about plant-based dietary shifts and have relevant background knowledge.
- You bring an absolute hands-on mentality and willingness to travel.
