We are looking for a skilled and experienced professional to join the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team as the Head of Finance BI, Data & Analytics. This is a senior leadership role responsible for leading the FP&A department's business intelligence (BI), data management, and analytics strategy and initiatives.
How You’ll Make an Impact
- Together with FP&A Management, design and lead the overall FP&A data, BI & analytics strategy, including design and delivery of BI, data and analytics financial products and services, and data governance, data quality and data lifecycle management.
- Lead and develop a team of finance BI, data and analytics professionals and ensure their continuous professional development.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of FP&A’s analytics and BI platforms, including the evaluation, selection, and implementation of new BI and data analytics tools and platforms, as required.
- Act as a liaison between IT, Corporate Accounting, Reporting & Controlling, FP&A and the Siemens Energy businesses to ensure alignment and collaboration on cross-company data, analytics and BI initiatives.
- Effectively communicate and advise on complex data concepts/tools/strategic landscape to non-technical stakeholders, including Executive Leadership.
- Drive a data-driven culture within FP&A and Corporate Accounting, Reporting & Controlling, promoting the use of analytics and insights to drive operational and strategic decisions.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in BI, data analytics, and financial reporting/planning systems.
What You Bring
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in financial analysis, business intelligence, or data analytics, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Solid understanding of data, analytics and BI tools, databases, data warehousing, and finance analytics software, as well as the ability to understand ERP systems and new technologies quickly.
- Knowledge of financial principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting as well as the ability to create a vision for data & analytics and BI, aligned and supporting the financial planning & analysis mandate.
- Strong communication skills to effectively convey complex data & analytics concepts to non-technical stakeholders and influence decision-making.
- Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop his/her team and strong project management abilities to lead/oversee multiple projects with multiple stakeholders.
