Group Finance Associate (m/f/d)

The department Controlling & Investments is supporting the RTL Group Executive Committee, primarily the CFO, in the strategic management of the global RTL group. The key tasks include analysis of portfolio companies’ performance and the evaluation of investments, divestments, and strategic business initiatives.

Responsibilities

As Finance Associate in the department Controlling & Investments, you are part of a dynamic and international team, covering the strategic controlling of RTL Group. Your tasks include the following:

• Review operational and financial performance of one or more Business Units, challenge business planning assumptions and thoroughly understand underlying business events
• Coordinate monthly management reporting, forecasts, and budgets in accordance with Group requirements
• Evaluate upcoming investment decisions, coordinate Group approval processes, and provide assessments of investment proposals
• Analyze and evaluate the performance of historical investment decisions
• Perform ad-hoc analyses for requests of the top management and support the preparation of Executive Committee as well as Board of Directors meetings

Your Profile

• An excellent university degree in Business Administration, Economics or equivalent, ideally with a focus on Finance or Accounting
• Between two and five years of professional experience in a Controlling-, Finance-or Consulting position
• Outstanding analytical capabilities, strong commitment, and good business sense
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to partner with teams across departments, businesses, and territories
• Fluency in English language
• Profound skills in MS Office applications (primarily Excel, PowerPoint), experience in SAP BO Finance is a plus
