The Position:

As a Group Controller, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy and ensuring robust fiscal oversight across our portfolio companies. Reporting directly to the CFO, you will lead financial consolidation, compliance, and reporting efforts while partnering with senior leadership to optimise performance and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Financial Reporting & Consolidation: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual group financial statements (IFRS/local GAAP), ensuring timely delivery to stakeholders and investors.
2. Budgeting & Forecasting: Lead group-wide budgeting processes, monitor performance against targets, and provide actionable insights to drive efficiency.
3. Compliance & Audit Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards, coordinate external audits, and implement robust internal controls.
4. Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Oversee cash flow planning, treasury activities, and inter-company transactions.
5. ERP & Systems Optimisation: Streamline financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP implementation) to enhance reporting accuracy and scalability.
6. M&A Support: Partner with the M&A team on due diligence, integration, and post-acquisition financial alignment.
7. Cross-functional leadership: Collaborate with operational teams and portfolio company CFOs to align financial strategies with business objectives.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field; CPA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
2. Experience: 5+ years in finance/controlling roles, including 3+ years in a group/corporate controlling environment. Experience in private equity-backed companies is a plus.
3. Technical Skills: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), advanced Excel, and BI tools (Power BI, Tableau).
4. Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of IFRS and local GAAP (Germany/Austria).
5. Languages: Fluency in German and English (written and spoken).
6. Soft Skills: Strategic thinker with exceptional communication skills, able to thrive in a fast-paced, decentralised environment.
