This position reports to

Marketing Manager

Your role and responsibilities

You will be part of a 24-month trainee program that will prepare you specifically for a future in the energy industry. In various stations, you will develop your skills in inside sales, marketing, and leadership and deepen your knowledge of ABB's innovative products and solutions. During the program, you will go through various rotations within Electrification Distribution Solutions and take part in a joint orientation event with all other participants in the global Discovery Program. This program offers you a unique platform for young talents to deal with future topics such as the energy transition, smart cities, AI-supported grid solutions, and sustainable infrastructure. In addition, a dedicated program manager will accompany you throughout your journey. Start your career in the energy industry - actively shape the energy transition and work on innovative solutions in medium-voltage technology.

  • Gain practical experience in project management & sales - take on a key role as an interface to our customers, support projects from planning to implementation, and work closely with internal teams.
  • Learn to create successful offers – Support the coordination and creation of offers for medium-voltage switchgear and analyze customer inquiries in detail.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement – Help us to further develop and sustainably improve our quality standards and processes.
  • Design an outstanding customer journey – Develop an understanding of professional stakeholder management and learn to successfully implement projects to exceed customer expectations.

Qualifications for the role

  • Completed master's degree or shortly before graduation in a business or technical degree program (e.g. industrial engineering, electrical engineering, etc.)
  • Initial professional experience in a technical sales environment, ideally in a corporate structure, through internships, working student positions, or a comparable position
  • Solution- and result-oriented mindset, coupled with the ability to set priorities and deal with complex challenges in a structured manner
  • Self-motivation and initiative to proactively drive projects and tasks forward and successfully manage demanding customer relationships
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills in an international environment as well as a solid knowledge of German and English
