Company Description
Wolt is a technology company that makes it incredibly easy to discover and get the best restaurants, grocery stores and other local shops delivered to home or to the office. Our local commerce platform makes it easy for customers to order whatever they need on one app, for merchants to make additional sales, and for couriers to make meaningful earnings flexibly. To enable this, Wolt develops a wide range of technologies from local commerce platforms to retail software and financial solutions, as well as operates its own grocery stores under the brand Wolt Market. Wolt was founded in 2014 and joined forces with DoorDash in 2022. Today DoorDash operates in 29 countries around the globe, 23 of which are with the Wolt product and brand.
So, why work at Wolt?
At Wolt, we’re about getting things done. You’ll probably enjoy it here if you like taking ownership, developing yourself and being around friendly, humble and ambitious people.
We work hard to make cities into better places, and it’s pretty cool seeing us grow every week. If you’re passionate about building things that just… work, Wolt might be for you.
Our Commitment to Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
We want to have all sorts of people in our team – people like you and me, and people different from you and me. To be able to work with diverse teammates – when it comes to gender, age, ethnicity, life background, sexual orientation, political views, religion, or any other personal trait – we consciously aim to offer equal opportunity for everyone to work with us. This is because we believe diverse teams make the most thought-through decisions and build things in the most inclusive way. Join us today to build Wolt together.
Role Background:
Trust and Safety focuses on proactively managing risks on the Wolt platform. The team also makes sure that trust and safety incidents are managed quickly, effectively and empathetically. It is a key priority for us that everyone can feel safe while using Wolt - be it for ordering, delivering, or selling goods.
Identity and Account Integrity are key areas of focus for the Trust and Safety team. We want to prevent Platform Users operating under a false identity or sharing their accounts. We want to prevent minors from ordering alcohol, previously deactivated users coming back to the platform, and fraudulent/illegal account sharing, amongst other things.
As the Global Manager for Identity and Account Integrity, you will have the unique opportunity to drive this program fully. You’ll be responsible for understanding and surfacing opportunities in our existing processes and products and work cross-functionally to develop and launch Safety Controls for these risks. You will partner closely with global functions and local teams to address improvement opportunities - all the while driving forward company-wide projects with high strategic importance.
The ideal candidate has some technical prowess and a passion for data driven insights to make informed decisions that improve our valued community. To succeed in the role, you must be comfortable working at both ends of the spectrum - you’ll be building the high-level strategy for the program and also rolling up your sleeves to get things done!
What you'll be doing:
Owning the Identity and Account Integrity Safety program globally, being accountable towards the program’s objectives and success.
Collaborating with Product, Policy, Comms, Legal, Ops, and other teams to plan and prioritize the work that Wolt needs to do for the program to be successful.
Identifying gaps and opportunities, understanding root causes, and proposing safety controls.
Developing and improving policies and criteria to deal with Identity and Account Integrity risks and incidents.
Develop, implement, and improve safety controls so that they are fit for purpose.
Establishing governance and forums to enable the program’s execution.
Advising global leadership on key risks and mitigators.
Completing global Identity and Account Integrity safety investigations and deep dives.
Training local, regional, and global teams on Identity and Account Integrity topics.
Understanding and ensuring Wolt’s compliance to any external Identity and Account Integrity requirements.
4-8 years of experience in Platform Operations, Strategy and Planning, Innovation, Technology, or Trust and Safety. The ideal candidate comes with expertise in Fraud, Risk, Safety, and/or Identity and Account Integrity risks and controls.
Strong analytical and problem solving skills and the ability to work with data and quickly turn it into insights, recommendations and strategies
Strong project/program management to drive consistent progress towards our goals. You know that a project or program can’t be successful without proper scoping, planning, engagement, governance, and documentation.
Excellent people skills and the ability to motivate, communicate, and drive various stakeholders including our country teams, global functional teams, and our leadership.
The ability to thrive in a dynamic environment where you need to be proactive and figure out what to do rather than wait to be told what to do.
Grit, creativity, and determination to drive a program independently even when things get tough. If things get blocked, you’ll need to find solutions or compromises to unblock them.
Experience in building out and scaling new processes, policies, and/or products.
Knowledge of the services we offer and genuine interest in Wolt and our industry.
You are willing to work from one of our global hubs, ideally Berlin but open to Helsinki, or Copenhagen and are open to travel.
You are able to work and communicate effectively in English.
