ABOUT THE ROLE:
We are seeking an experienced Global Events Principal to lead our most highest value event initiatives globally. This individual contributor role will be the go-to lead of our owned events strategy, managing high-profile company events while ensuring brand consistency and delivering exceptional experiences for customers, prospects, and industry stakeholders.
ONCE YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL:
Strategic Event Leadership
- Own end-to-end production of our flagship event, INCENTIVIZE and its future roadshows across AMER, EMEA, APAC, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional attendee experiences.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive customer community strategy through various event formats, from large-scale conferences to intimate VIP experiences.
- Create scalable event playbooks for field and customer teams to execute in local markets, ensuring consistent brand representation globally.
- Manage and optimize the global events budget, working closely with the broader marketing team to maximize ROI.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with sales, customer success, executive leadership, product teams, and content teams to align event strategies with business objectives.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for non-marketing events across the organization, streamlining processes and optimizing vendor relationships.
- Coordinate with field marketing teams to support high-investment industry events such as NRF, OMR, and Shoptalk to ensure maximum ROI.
Brand Experience Innovation
- Identify and secure speaking opportunities for executives at industry events to enhance brand visibility within the broader tech community.
- Design and implement VIP experiences that strengthen relationships with key customers and prospects.
- Conceptualize and execute creative brand activation initiatives, including wild postings, pop-up experiences, and experiential moments.
Operational Excellence
- Establish and maintain event production standards that reflect and enhance our brand identity.
- Consolidate and manage agency relationships to optimize costs and ensure consistent quality across all events.
- Develop and document best practices for event execution across different formats and regions.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
Required Qualifications
- 7-10+ years of experience in event production, with emphasis on large-scale corporate events and community roadshows.
- Proven track record of managing flagship conferences and high-profile customer events.
- Deep understanding of owned events strategy and corporate event management.
- Exceptional project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
- Strong budget management experience with demonstrated cost optimization results.
- Creative mindset with experience in experiential marketing and brand activations.
- Excellent vendor and agency relationship management capabilities.
- Ability to travel frequently (40%+ travel required) to support events across all regions.
