German speaking Payroll Specialist

An international bank is currently recruiting a Payroll Specialist to work in their Frankfurt office.
The Payroll Specialist will maintain a professional and high service level of output on all payroll data preparation, employment contracts, onboarding and offboarding processes, and advising on HR administrative topics.

The ideal candidate should have strong Payroll skills, knowledge of payroll and social security law, and excellent communication skills in German and English.

German speaking Payroll Specialist Main Responsibilities:

1. Prepare together with HR Ops team in Amsterdam the Payroll data for payroll provider considering legal and company requirements
2. Preparation of employment contracts and comprehensive HR support
3. Responsible for the on- and offboarding process: updating systems, payroll, informing third parties, etc
4. Advising managers and employees on wage tax, social security including company pension scheme and payroll related queries
5. Processing of notifications, reports and certificates (upon request)
6. Communication and correspondence with authorities and external providers
7. First point of contact for staff and managers in advising on HR administrative related topics
8. Managing leave process, monitor compliance of self-service around holiday/special leave and advising on special leaves such as parental leave, unpaid leave etc
9. Support the HR Business Partners

German speaking Payroll Specialist Ideal Candidate:

1. Essential: More than 1 year of experience in HR
2. Good knowledge of labour and social security law
3. Preferred: Experience in operational HR work, particularly payroll accounting
4. Preferred: Experience in an international bank and/or in the service sector
5. Preferred: Experience with HR IS like SuccessFactors
6. Language skills: Business level fluency in both German and English
7. PC skills: Solid experience of MS-Office
8. Character: Team player with ability to work on own initiative, good eye for detail
9. Character: High sense of responsibility
10. Character: Service-oriented and independent way of working
