General Manager ViiV, Germany

Job Purpose

As the VP, General Manager Germany you will be responsible for leading and delivering the ViiV business within a key European market. In this role you will have full accountability for the P&L as well as compliance with all regulatory and legal requirements within Germany.

In this critical leadership role, you will look to ensure high quality activity within the market related to people, customers, stakeholders and regulators. You will lead both leaders and managers and as such will demonstrate a culture of coaching, driving change and be an enabler of high-performance teams. In order to deliver results, you will work effectively and collaboratively with the European and Global Leaders across ViiV.

You will play a key part in ensuring the right focus from the team to grow the current portfolio and to deliver the future pipeline according to ViiV’s ambitious plans. You will also be accountable for all interactions with policy makers, regulators and other external stakeholders within Germany.

Key Responsibilities

1. Full P&L Responsibility:
   • Oversee and drive the achievement of key financial targets, including sales, volumes, SG&A, profitability, and other business metrics.
2. Team Leadership
   • Lead and develop the Germany team, ensuring alignment with financial goals and delivering on strategic business targets while cultivating a high-performance culture.
3. Portfolio Leadership
   • Establish Long Acting Injectable (LAI) as the new paradigm for the treatment and prevention of HIV, whilst maintaining as the preferred Oral therapy for people living with HIV (PLWHIV). Compete fiercely to grow and defend market leadership with ViiV products.
4. Launch Strategy
   • Lead the preparation and execution of the launches future assets with smart resource allocation to ensure successful market entry and boost the overall ambition to establish LAI as the new, improved, solutions to get the country closer to ending the HIV epidemic.
5. Maximize Portfolio Value
   • Embrace and utilise multichannel options to strategically maximize the lifecycle value of ViiV's HIV portfolio, leveraging data, insights, and market strategies to extend product impact beyond F2F, in a true omnichannel approach, leveraging AI to improve speed, quality and impact of decisions.
6. Establish ViiV Healthcare as a Specialty powerhouse
   • Understand the strategic drivers of a specialty care company, strengthen the capabilities for Strategic account management and engage competitively with the top accounts to drive faster adoption of LAI solutions by patients and people who could benefit from prep.
7. External Relationships
   • Build and strengthen strategic relationships with policymakers, regulators, and healthcare professionals to ensure seamless access to ViiV’s HIV portfolio.
8. Collaboration with Global Teams
   • Work closely with global, European, and local teams to align ViiV’s strategy in Germany with regional and global initiatives, ensuring market success.
