As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced General Manager to lead our talented team, drive operational excellence and expand our weddings and events business.

The Opportunity:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead The Haus Restaurant and ensure an exceptional level of service across both our dining and event operations. This role is perfect for a hospitality professional with a strong background in high performing food and beverage operations, who is passionate about delivering outstanding customer experiences.

As General Manager you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the venue from both restaurant and event operations, staff leadership, financial management and operational efficiency. Reporting directly to the directors and shareholders, you’ll play a key role in driving profitability, maintaining high standards and helping us continue to deliver memorable experiences for our guests. Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of The Haus Restaurant, ensuring high standards of food, beverage and guest service during all meal periods.
  • Lead and manage a large team, including kitchen and Front of House staff, focusing on performance, motivation, and development.
  • Collaborate with the kitchen department to curate seasonal menus that highlight local produce and maintain consistency.
  • Monitor and manage food & beverage costs, staff wages and overall financial performance to meet budget goals.
  • Ensure smooth service flow by implementing efficient operational processes.
  • Address guest concerns promptly and professionally to enhance customer experience and encourage repeat visits.

Events & Venue Management:

  • Work closely with the Conference, Events and Wedding team to provide exceptional event planning and execution, ensuring seamless delivery of experiences and client satisfaction.
  • Develop and collaborate strategies to grow the events business, enhancing offerings and client relationships.
  • Maintain venue presentation and facilities to the highest standard.
  • Build relationships with local suppliers, supporting community ties and sustainability.
  • Manage budgeting, forecasting and P&L monitoring for restaurant and event operations.
  • Oversee accounts payable, cost control and revenue maximization strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with RSA, Awards, NES and health & safety regulations.
  • Lead and motivate a high-performing team, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Ensure efficient staff scheduling and maintain high standards of service and personal presentation.
  • Implement training programs for continuous staff development and operational excellence.
  • Collaborate with the directors to develop long term strategies for growth and profitability.
