Responsibilities

Together with other Software Developers, a Product Owner, and our Customer Service staff, you will build and improve our Zendesk-based solution and processes. Your work will enable our agents to deliver high-quality service to our B2B and B2C customers.

The following tasks will be part of your position:

• Become a member of one of our engineering teams, building products of the company’s ecosystem
• Be involved in every part of the software engineering process and in the lifecycle of the services that your team is building - requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, maintenance, operations, and improving software based on user feedback and usage metrics
• Work closely with customer support agents and product experts, conceiving, refining, and delivering new ideas

Experience

We are searching for a motivated candidate with the following qualifications:

• Good knowledge of a web-development stack, both frontend and backend, including a frontend framework and TypeScript; knowledge of or willingness to learn a JVM-based stack for the backend
• Professional experience working as a software developer, or a completed apprenticeship/degree in a related field
• Practical experience working in agile development teams
• Comfortable communicating in both German and English (C1)
• Curiosity and the ability to learn fast
• Motivation to iteratively develop processes in our organization
• Problem-solving mindset

Preferred skills and interests:

• Experience with Zendesk as a software developer or as a user
• Bachelor or Master in Computer Science or related fields
• Experience following a Test-Driven Development (TDD) approach
• Experience working with microservices-based architectures and Cloud Service Providers (preferably AWS)
