Frontend Development: Design and implement modern, responsive web UIs
Tool Building: Focus on building and improving our internal operations software and partner portal
Collaboration: Work closely with other developers and product managers to ship features that improve user workflows and system performance
TypeScript & Backend Integration: Use JavaScript across the frontend and occasionally contribute to backend services
Quality & Maintainability: Write clean, maintainable, and tested code within a shared team codebase (GitLab, CI/CD)
The Job
As a Frontend Developer (w/m/d) at SpotMyEnergy, you will be instrumental in building and evolving the tools that power our operations and partnerships. You’ll focus on our internal web applications—used by our installation teams—and our business partner portal, which enables third parties to manage energy customers efficiently and at scale.
Your work will directly support the energy transition by streamlining processes, enabling faster smart meter rollouts, and giving our partners the tools they need to succeed. You’ll collaborate closely with our Product and Operation teams to build intuitive and robust web interfaces.
Your Profile
Experience: 2–3 years of professional experience in frontend development with a JavaScript framework (such as Vue.js, React, Angular, etc.)
Technical Skills: •Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript •Familiarity with REST APIs and component-based UI architecture •Interest in contributing to backend code when needed
Mindset: •Passion for building practical, user-focused tools •Enjoy collaborating across disciplines and improving how things get done
Location: Based in Germany, with willingness to join the team onsite in Cologne once per quarter
Languages: Fluency in English; German is a plus, but not required
