An international bank is currently recruiting an Associate to work in the Global Transaction Banking Department at their Frankfurt office.
In this role you will be responsible for transactions and business promotion activities with corporate customers in Continental European countries as well as administration/middle function for their transactions.
The ideal candidate should have at least 3 year experience in a related field and some experience/knowledge of bank guarantees.

Associate Main Responsibilities:
• Checking and preparing customer-related deal instruction sheets for booking and issuing
• Preparing, issuing, amending, extending, and terminating guarantees
• Advising and negotiating customized guarantee text, preparing verification, conducting risk analysis, and managing the issuance, signing, amending, extending, and terminating of guarantees
• Handling tasks for improvement of guarantee operations / processes based on relevant professional understanding of process / operation flows
• Periodical coordination and execution of invoicing, fee calculation and reconciliation
• Collaborating with internal parties to (a) proactively propose marketing strategy in line with the RM departments’ business strategy / focus, (b) proactively share information on status and action plan on deal pipeline, and (c) ensure delivery of services and solutions to customers in line with their expectation in terms of quality and time, to manage the end-to-end process from marketing/ sourcing to actual execution/ delivery of our services
• Keeping the line manager/Trade Finance Team Head (TH) informed about any kind of problems and resolving these problems with the assistance of the line manager/TH without any delay
• Assisting the line manager/TH in establishing the objectives for the Team, which support the objectives of the bank and to oversee the progress and accomplishment of these objectives
• Assisting customers in Continental Europe.
• Controlling sensitive keys and important items regarding daily work supplies as backup for the TH
Associate Ideal Candidate:
• Professional banker with at least 3 years of experience working in a bank (extensive experience in origination, structuring, documentation, and arrangement of bank guarantee transactions through to deal closing would be best)
• Experience and knowledge of legal texts
• Business level proficiency of English and French
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Ability to establish strong, trustworthy relationships with the front office
