Join us on our journey: to build Europe’s largest residential virtual power plant, we are looking for an entrepreneurial and driven Founders Associate. As Founders Associate you will shape the strategic direction of Flexa in close collaboration with its founding and management team.
Location: Munich, Germany

• Employment Type: Full-time
• Salary Range: € 60.000 - 70.000 per year
• Working Mode: Office setup
• Language Requirement: C1 Level English and German

Your Responsibilities

Whilst you will be involved in all kinds of strategic topics, you will especially be responsible for the following:

• Business Planning & Reporting: Own and continuously refine Flexa business plan, and control performance vs. business plan forecasts
• Investor Relations & External Comms: Support engagement with our shareholders (e.g., board presentations) and other stakeholders (e.g., PR, brand)
• Product: Support product team in strategic topics (e.g., competitor benchmarking), while providing operational support in stakeholder management
• Finance & Operations: Lead key effort on operations and finance topics (e.g., process optimization and automation, grant applications)
• Operating Model: Drive projects to improve our way of working and team effectiveness (e.g., optimizing knowledge sharing/documentation)

Your Profile

Mandatory Requirements:

• Entrepreneurial personality with a high degree of self-initiative, result-orientation, and strong stakeholder management
• Strong analytical skills and a high degree of diligence
• You view tech as a means to deliver value to our customers. You enjoy working with data and can translate customer value into technical concepts and vice versa
• Previous experience in the energy market, top-tier strategy consulting, investment banking, private equity, or energy/sustainability-related start-ups
• Outstanding academic track record with a degree preferably in engineering, business administration, or economics
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively

Skills to Set You Apart:

• Working knowledge of programming to drive automation of processes
• Previous entrepreneurial experiences

Hello!
I'm Fabian, the Head of Operations at Flexa. My passion for the energy transition began early, during my first internship at a wind farm contractor when I was just 16. Watching those massive turbines rise from the ground was a moment of awe that still resonates with me. After starting a few of my own ventures and completing my studies in Finance, I transitioned into the consulting industry, where I eagerly immersed myself in energy projects. From that point on, I was hooked.

Building Flexa is both a tremendous motivator and a significant responsibility for me. It’s an incredible opportunity to work on some of the most complex and critical challenges our society faces today, alongside a team of exceptionally talented individuals.
