The Fund for Public Health in New York City (FPHNYC) is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to the advancement of the health and well-being of all New Yorkers. To this end, in partnership with the New York City Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH), FPHNYC incubates innovative public health initiatives implemented by DOHMH to advance community health throughout the city. It facilitates partnerships, often new and unconventional, between government and the private sector to develop, test, and launch new initiatives. These collaborations speed the execution of demonstration projects, effect expansion of successful pilot programs, and support rapid implementation to meet the public health needs of individuals, families, and communities across New York City.
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
The Bureau of Facilities Planning and Admin Services- Transportation and Fleet Services Unit provides pick-up and delivery services of specimen, vaccines, supplies, equipment, furniture, files and records, outgoing and interoffice mail, and salvaged items from and to other DOH facilities, including Public Health Lab, Post Office and organizations that partner with the agency. In addition, the unit monitors all agency fleet activities and coordinates maintenance, repairs, replacements.

DOHMH is seeking a self-driven professional who is skilled, organized and detail-oriented who will assist in coordinating transportation services, managing schedules, reporting, and ensuring efficient operations for our transportation department.

This is an hourly paid temporary position. The rate for this position is $31.73 per hour, 35 hours per week.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
There is potential for this position to transition to DOHMH and therefore candidates must meet DOHMH eligibility requirement including NYC residency.
