Stellen-ID: 2759759 | Amazon EU SARL (Germany Branch)
This role is a 1 year fixed term contract.
Join Amazon’s EU Other Hardlines (OHL) Product Family in any one of our EU locations (London, Paris, Milan, Madrid, or Munich) and impact our supply chain across Europe. As a Strategic Supply Chain Manager, you will build an in-depth understanding of Amazon's commercial frameworks, operational processes, and programs. Supported by this knowledge, you will collaborate with our largest vendors to enhance supply chain cooperation and improve the strategic operations setup. The goal is to maximize product availability for our customers while reducing overall costs and time to serve.
As you enter one of our Retail offices in London, Madrid, Milan, Munich, Luxembourg, or Paris and grab a first cup of coffee or tea with your colleagues, you begin to look forward to your day. Approximately 40% of your time will be spent working with our most important vendors by aligning with internal partners in vendor management and central tech teams before reaching out to the vendors themselves to discuss improvement opportunities. Another 40% of your time will be dedicated to advancing projects you own or contribute to, creating a lasting impact across large cohorts of our vendor base and supply chain. Finally, around 20% of your time will be devoted to personal development, engaging in discussions, and working directly with your manager.
We are a centralized function within the EU Other Hardlines Product Family. As a team, our culture is focused around three main areas: work-life balance and well-being, producing scalable improvements, and creating experts who feel true ownership for their areas of responsibility. Our Strategic Supply Chain Managers, spread across our EU retail locations, own the full vendor-facing supply chain. Improving customer availability remains at the core of the role, with a focus on delivering upside via long-term strategic engagement with our vendor base by defining end-to-end supply chain solutions that optimize the processing, delivery, and receipt of goods. Additionally, they are enhancing the customer experience by leveraging their vendor and business knowledge to support continuous improvement of our inventory management systems and optimizing inputs to these systems.
