The Finance Business Partner (for EU & UK) will report to Head Sales Operations Control and Analysis and partner closely with the regional (EU & UK) business functional heads, including R&D centres, to formulate performance metrics, cost to serve analysis, and growth strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Identifying and evaluating control gaps, including conformance with policy, procedure, regulatory requirements, operational, reputational, and financial risks.
- Preparing and distributing robust management information, consisting of both financial and non-financial KPIs to the business and reporting key variances.
- Performing monthly variance analysis of financial results, reviewing with functional leaders to ensure understanding of the drivers and corresponding risks, controlling selling and distribution expenses.
- Facilitating large end-to-end, cross-functional process review sessions to understand the current state and build the future state.
- Conducting periodic assessments of risks and controls, identifying risks needing mitigation, and developing/deploying action plans to address.
- Proactively and timely reporting to senior management identified areas of deficiencies and seeking solutions and activating action plans.
- Monitoring the inventory of current issues and corrective action plans and reporting/escalating items requiring management attention and action on a timely basis.
- Working with global and regional teams to assure the future state process is solving for business goals and overcoming barriers.
- Fostering a culture of compliance and integrity by actively participating in the implementation, evaluation, and enhancement of internal controls, ensuring alignment with regulatory standards and organizational objectives.
- Ad hoc duties as deemed appropriate.
Requirements:
- The ideal candidate should possess a Degree in Accountancy or equivalent with more than 8 years of relevant business controlling/FP&A experience, partnering with commercial stakeholders in recent years.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills for dealing with varying levels of English competence and finance backgrounds.
- Excellent engagement, interpersonal, and influencing skills with the ability to simplify complex financial information.
- Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders from different functional teams.
- Excellent business acumen and meticulous attention to detail.
- Possesses detailed knowledge of statutory and compliance requirements.
- Highly well-versed with MS Excel and PowerPoint tools.
- Motivated and self-starter with a strong desire to grow.
High-intensity travel required (70% travel). This position will ultimately require relocation to Germany. Candidates applying for this role should be prepared for a permanent move.
