We are looking for a Field Application Engineer to join our European Channel Sales team. This position is home office based, preferably in Germany. We expect close collaboration with all channel partners and their offices across Europe. This role will provide expertise through technical presentations, product demonstrations, installation, and maintenance of company products. Frequent travel across Europe will be expected. This role will mainly provide technical support to Allegro’s channel partners and customers based in Central Europe, but also other countries in Europe.
Responsibilities
- Responsible contact person for our channel partners for all technical questions.
- Support design reviews, provision of all necessary product information and documentation.
- Work closely with the Allegro channel sales staff and/or channel partners to assess potential applications of Allegro products to meet channel customer needs.
- Prepare detailed product presentations for the development and implementation of channel customer applications/solutions.
- Engage in regular deep technical discussions with Allegro’s channel customers to understand their technical requirements, market trends, application architectures, and coordinate technical actions with Allegro’s engineering and marketing team to generate design wins for Allegro.
- Provide pre- and post-sales technical support; work with the channel customer from the first idea through various sample stages until start of production.
- Provide follow-up support to Allegro management and channel customers by disseminating technical information on specific applications.
- Conduct channel customer site visits and/or channel partner office visits (QBRs, BDD Business Development Days) to drive design-in opportunities and increase demand.
- Participate in and support fairs, events, channel partner training, and/or channel partner events in Europe.
- Present in technical seminars and workshops around Allegro’s channel partners.
- Understand and represent Allegro’s technologies.
Requirements
- Bachelor/master’s degree in electric/electronic engineering for analogue electronics and experience as an FAE in the relevant field.
- Ability to conceptualize and materialize solutions and influence technical decision makers.
- Excellent understanding of the automotive and industrial business environment and requirements.
- Strong communication skills by developing credibility and providing high-impact technical presentations.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented.
- Willingness to travel across Europe.
- Language: German & English is mandatory; Italian and/or French is a plus.
