Fabricator and Welder

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Fabricator and Welder. The ideal candidate will have experience in both metal fabrication and welding, working with a variety of materials and performing tasks to ensure that all components meet the required specifications and quality standards.

Location: Berlin, CT

Compensation: $25-35/hr DOE

Responsibilities:

• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics to fabricate parts and assemblies
• Perform welding tasks using various techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick welding, etc.) to join, cut, or repair metal parts
• Operate welding machines and cutting equipment safely and effectively
• Measure and inspect materials to ensure they are within tolerance
• Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, and shaping to proper sizes
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
• Follow all safety protocols and ensure adherence to safety standards
• Collaborate with other team members to ensure projects are completed on time

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience as a Fabricator and Welder
• Strong knowledge of welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick, etc.)
• Experience working with metal materials such as stainless steel, galvanized, carbon, and aluminum
• Field installation is required
• Ability to operate a large sheer, press brake, roller, and sheet metal equipment
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
• Familiarity with metalworking tools and equipment
• Strong attention to detail and quality control
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
• High school diploma or equivalent; welding certification is a plus
