Introduction
The IBM Corporation annually invests billions of dollars in the research and development of software products. It is fundamental to maintaining a competitive lead in this industry and perpetuating IBM's reputation and tradition.
IBM has been a pioneer and innovator in technology for over a century, creating breakthrough inventions to drive client success. Licensing those inventions to fit every size and shape of client, every IT landscape and client circumstance, has required an array of agreements with changing terms and conditions. The fundamental goal of license compliance is to enable our clients to be compliant with these licensing terms. Software Enterprise Licensing Specialists help clients navigate our terms as well as check that they are compliant. Today, license compliance is evolving to reflect new technologies and new ways of doing business. You have to keep in dialogue with our customers to support our approach to compliance which is based on three overarching principles - fairness, transparency, and innovation. We are looking for YOU: a smart, trustworthy, discreet, and diligent colleague who feels comfortable working in a highly dynamic and agile environment where you can develop further in your career.
Your Role and Responsibilities
Enterprise Software Licensing & Compliance Specialists lead client software license reviews, including negotiations and resolutions to preserve and protect IBM's IP for software consumed without entitlements and with a focus on client satisfaction.
They utilize strong executive-level selling skills to engage the client and resolve software licensing exposures.
They manage audit partner relationships and their engagement with clients; lead pricing, negotiation, and legal contracts, leading to mutually beneficial deal structures; and explain complex constructs of deals, articulating IBM's licensing terms and conditions and the value of solution components.
Collaborating closely with IBM Teams internally on all Levels (Market / GEO / WW) will be essential to ensure alignment across client engagements and negotiations.
