Your Tasks:

• You will be responsible for carrying out welding tests and technical feasibility studies for customers.
• You will become an expert in laser transmission welding.
• Analyzing the welding results and documenting them.
• Developing and adapting welding, positioning and testing fixtures, including creating CAD drawings of simple fixtures and masks.
• Commissioning of machines and training for customers.
• You are responsible for the care and maintenance of laboratory equipment and for implementing laser safety in the application laboratory.
• Assisting with internal, application-specific education and training for the sales and service departments.
• Project planning and documentation.
• Carrying out scientific work as part of publicly funded projects on plastic welding with laser radiation.
• Carrying out infrared laboratory tests.

Your Profile:

• You have a successfully completed degree (Bachelor or Master) in engineering.
• Sound knowledge of thermoplastics, if possible experience in plastic welding.
• Manual aptitude (retooling/adjusting welding equipment, operating machines and analysis equipment).
• If possible, basic knowledge of thermodynamics and mechanics (assessment of the welding process, assessment of welding machines).
