Summary
We are looking for an “Embedded Software Developer (f/m/d)” for the “Sights” department in Wetzlar or Oberkochen as soon as possible.

Within the “Engineering Sights” development department, various disciplines such as software, optics, electronics and mechanics are combined to develop high-quality optronic vision systems.

Our observation devices combine information from multiple sensors operating at visible and infrared wavelengths to provide the user with reliable information even under the most difficult conditions and ensure the success of their mission.

Your Tasks

1. Development of stabilized optronic platforms by networking multispectral video cameras, laser rangefinders, image processing electronics (video tracking), inertial measurement systems and control of electromechanical drive units to high performance vision systems.
2. Development of real-time/multitasking software for embedded computer systems with RTOS and multicore processors for control and regulation.
3. Model-oriented SW development.
4. SW component and system integration in a team.
5. Verification of developed software in the visual system.
6. Agile software engineering in a team.
7. Participation in overall system integrations, product presentations and trials, also internationally.

Willingness to travel occasionally is required.

Your Profile

1. Engineer in the field of computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics or comparable training with a focus on embedded software development.
2. Experience in software architecture description with UML in Enterprise Architect, object-oriented software development with C++(17/23) for QNX Neutrino 6.5 / 7, Linux or FreeRTOS.
3. Experience, integration and testing of software applications in distributed systems with sniffer and diagnostic tools (e.g. from Vector Informatik).
4. Knowledge of software development for signal and data acquisition in real time and for event and sequence control.
5. Very good knowledge of German and English.
