Embedded Software Developer – Audio/VoIP Tactical Radio Communication

Location: Berlin

Remote Work: Up to 60%

Weekly Hours: 40 hours per week

Start Date: April 1, 2025

End Date: March 31, 2026

Contract Duration: Up to 24 months

Responsibilities

The role includes the specification and design of software for embedded devices, participation in requirements analysis and overall device architecture, and close collaboration in an agile development team. The candidate will take technical responsibility for work packages, coordinate with software, firmware, and hardware teams, and be involved in the implementation, testing, integration, and troubleshooting of software modules in a CI environment. They will also conduct functional testing on devices.

Qualifications & Skills

1. Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Technical Informatics
2. Solid experience in embedded software development, preferably in C/C++ and Python
3. Familiarity with Linux (embedded) and development tools such as git, systemd, dbus, cmake
4. Experience with communication protocols, agile software development, and software quality assurance
5. Experience in safety/security environments is an advantage
6. German: Fluent (C1)
7. English: Basic knowledge
