Electronics Design Engineer (m/f/d)
As a part of the team of the electronics department at OHB you will be responsible for designing and testing electronic units for satellites. Our electronic units are controlling high precision motors, actively reducing vibrations, processing high-resolution image data and sensor signals and more. If you want to prove that your design meets the most challenging performance requirements while operating in a harsh environment in space, then you should join our team.
Your Tasks
- Design of analog and digital electronic hardware for satellites and manned space missions from concept to final acceptance for flight
- Design of multi-channel, high-resolution and high-speed signal acquisition chains for image, vibration, temperature and position sensors
- Design of digital image processing and control electronics with FPGAs and SoCs
- Design of DC/DC and point of load power converters
- Verification of the performance of your circuits by simulation for worst case, derating and signal integrity analysis
- Specifying PCB layouts and guidance of the PCB layout designer for multi-layer and rigid-flex High-Rel PCBs
- Testing your circuits in the lab and under extreme conditions during qualification / acceptance tests
- Co-engineering with other disciplines e.g. mechanical design, radiation engineering, EEE engineering manufacturing and FPGA design
Your Qualifications
- Master Degree in electronics engineering or similar discipline
- Experience with digital electronics FPGAs, SoCs, High speed digital interfaces (JESD204, DDR, PCI, Wizard link)
- Experience with analog electronics including high speed ADCs, high speed and low noise amplifiers and filter circuits
- Experience with power supply design for digital circuits and sensitive analog and mixed signal circuitry
- Knowledge of spacecraft communication protocols (SpaceWire, MIL-STD-1553, SpaceFibre)
- At least one programming language suitable to control automated test set-ups (Python or C/C++)
- Experience with ECAD design and simulation tools (Mentor PADS, Spice, HyperLynx, ADS)
- Excellent communication skills, good written and oral English
