Senior Manager Privacy Governance (m/f/d)

Key Responsibilities

• Develop further and manage the organization's privacy program, including internal policies, guidelines, and processes.
• Onboard required privacy governance tools and processes to ensure compliance, overview, and pro-active management of implemented data protection measures.
• Improve reporting system for data protection compliance.
• Collaborate with legal, IT, information security, and other teams to ensure privacy requirements are integrated into business processes and systems.
• Respond to privacy incidents and breaches, including investigation and remediation, and update respective processes.
• Collaborate with privacy experts globally to ensure coordination and alignment on standards and processes across different geographies.
• Deliver privacy training and awareness programs.
• Monitor compliance with privacy laws, regulations, and internal policies.
• Prepare reports for senior management and regulatory authorities as required.

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

• 6+ years of relevant working experience
• 1+ years of lateral management experience
• Bachelor's degree in law, IT, business, or a related field.
• Proven experience in privacy governance, data protection, audit, IT security management, data governance, or a related field.
• Professional certification such as CIPP, CIPM, or CIPT is a plus.
• Interest in global privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and others.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Confident in communicating at the senior management level.
• Ambition for people management responsibilities.
• Working experience in complex multi-national environments.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
• Relevant international privacy certification a plus (CIPP, CIPM, etc.).
