Job Description
In plant, responsible mainly for all shipment mode for Outbound shipments (US and JP). Main contact with planner, end customer logistics team, shipping, external warehouse (SGL), LOM, engineering, quality team, TMC Vietnam, procurement and LSP for transportation alignment.

Operational services provided by this HC to PgP1 are detailed as follows with each department:

  1. Planner
    1. Alignment on forecast volume, trend and planning.
    2. Coordinate on daily shipment including mode of transport request, criticality and make the best decision on suitable mode of transportation.
    3. End to end track and trace for all shipments.
    4. Special booking and hypercare attention on expedite/I-STAR/ad-hoc shipment including being able to support over the weekend or beyond the working hours.
    5. Attend any plant workshop or meeting by LOG.
    6. Coordinate on holiday planning and support needed for shipment.
    7. Data collection and sharing include monthly and shipment dashboard.
    8. Close follow up on shipment transfer to external warehouse to ensure meet shipment cut off time.
  2. End customer's logistics team (payers)
    1. Support the requirement of end customer on logistics request, ad-hoc shipments, reporting, rate and billing clarifications daily.
    2. Quarterly meeting to discuss on LSPs performance, strategization, allocation and other arising issues together with PgP1, PUI and network team.
  3. Shipping
    1. Alignment with Shipping on LSP allocation, expedite shipment arrangement and provide clear instruction on critical materials shipments arrangement (delay, pull in etc.).
    2. Coordination on mode of shipment, timeliness of documentation, truck delay or issues which not able to perform any of the loading on time.
  4. External warehouse
    1. Alignment on mode of shipment, capacity, timing on loading, forecast planning, inventory available or to be made available to plan for the loading, invoice cut off to meet the cut off time.
    2. Coordination on change of mode of shipment where needed to support business needs.
  5. LOM/Engineering/Quality team
    1. Alignment on shipment arrangement and track and trace for trial shipment on packaging change, sample and quality shipment.
  6. TMC (Vietnam)
    1. Contact window for Overland shipment with TMC (Vietnam).
  7. Procurement
    1. Provide tender support on the volume and sharing/feedback on the LSP performance to PUI/LSP manager.
    2. Ensure rate card is always valid and trigger for action whenever near expiry and provide clarification/suggestion on the new rate with improvement needed from LSP.
    3. Alignment on new lane introduction or back up plan based on needs and frequency.
  8. LSP
    1. Allocation of volume among LSPs, and solve bottleneck in capacity issue.
    2. Optimize freight based on the allocation and quota rate capped.
    3. CIP projects to achieve both process efficiency and cost savings.
    4. LSP performance management, including change route, exception handling, KPI tracking and track and trace.
    5. Ability to do strategization towards each LSP according to their performance, dynamic capacity and rate.
    6. Manage LSPs operational deviations including root cause analysis and PDCA for improvement.
    7. Conduct MBR meeting with LSPs.
    8. Coordinate on claim management between internal, LSP including liaising with surveyor or adjustor and informing plant regarding to final result and also the chargeback (if any).
    9. Adhoc quote request.
    10. Conduct regular LSP audit.

Qualifications
Preferably tertiary qualifications Logistics or Supply Chain. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Logistics, have some knowledge in Warehouse and Custom. Experience in planning would be of great advantage. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Having strong communication skills to manage the internal and external stakeholder expectations. SAP knowledge. Ability to support beyond working hours subject to business needs. Strong personality with high integrity. Support any other tasks, back up outside of normal responsibilities from time to time when needed.
