This position reports to

Sales Manager

Your role and responsibilities

The Field Application Engineer markets complex, technical products and convinces customers with technical expertise and strong sales skills. The FAE offers practical and individual solutions for our customers and helps with the implementation of technical products and services. They work in close coordination with account managers and customers.

1. Technical specialist with segment, application and product orientation
2. Active consulting and support in the planning and compilation of ABB products and systems in the special FAE area of expertise
3. Assistance and on-demand training of customers in the specialist area, in cooperation with PM, trainer and account manager
4. Planning optimization, cross- and upselling activities for added value for the customer and ABB
5. Conversion of competitive products and customer baskets using tools and knowledge to prepare offers
6. Technical support for product launches and announcements in the region
7. Market observation for specific solutions in the specialist area and corresponding support for the segments and PM areas for new and further developments

Qualifications for the role

• Master electrician / technician / industrial engineer in the field of motor starting and safety
• Experience in sales
• Knowledge of SAP, SalesForce
• Good knowledge of German, English
