Position: Legal Counsel (m/f/d)
As a Legal Counsel in the Corporate Legal department, you will assist in the legal support of the Döhler Group companies worldwide.
Your Role
- Advise on and address all issues related to operational, legal, commercial, and sales law, including areas such as contract law, product liability, corporate law, and compliance.
- Responsible for drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex contracts with our (inter)national clients and business partners.
- Manage disputes and legal conflicts.
- Handle product, warranty, and other liability cases.
- Develop, implement, and monitor compliance processes and structures in accordance with legal requirements in Germany and support relevant audits.
- Advise departments and management on all relevant compliance matters, particularly regarding data protection, the Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG), and ESG.
- Accompany mergers and acquisitions, including legal reviews when necessary.
- Implement strategies to structure legal frameworks, secure legal positions, and manage corporate activities.
- Work on projects related to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Your Profile
- Several years of professional experience in the legal department of a globally operating company or a regional law firm with a focus on commercial law.
- Successfully completed studies in law (first and second state exams).
- Experience with compliance and legal matters with solid compliance knowledge applied in practice.
- Strong commercial understanding, balanced risk awareness, meticulous work style, and analytical understanding of complex relationships.
- Ability to prioritize and act pragmatically and hands-on when needed.
- Confident demeanor with precise and persuasive communication skills.
- Strong communication and assertiveness skills, as well as pronounced negotiation abilities.
- Working languages: German and English (additional languages are a plus).
