We're looking for a high-performing, impactful Site Reliability Engineer to join a team that provides and manages VPN connectivity to external partners, micro-service connectivity (Istio), service discovery (Consul), as well as secrets management (Vault).

Aufgaben

1. Design, develop and implement systems, services and solutions, with the aim of improving the security, reliability, scalability and availability of systems in the following domains:
1. Service Mesh (Istio)
2. Internal and External Connectivity (VPN)
3. Secrets Management (Vault)
4. Service Discovery (Consul)
2. Take ownership of our service mesh and its underlying network stack and ensure its optimal performance and reliability.
3. Collaborate with other teams and support them in bringing critical new features to N26.
4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and new technology developments in service mesh.
5. Identify and automate repetitive tasks.
6. Monitor the health of your system and support them as part of an on-call rotation.

Profil

1. Professional experience with VPN connectivity, micro-service connectivity (Istio or similar), service discovery (Consul or similar) and secrets management tools (Vault or similar).
2. Deep understanding of microservices, service mesh architecture, networking protocols and cloud computing, as well as the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
3. Experience with at least one glue language (Python or Go preferred).
4. Your brain runs Linux.
5. Professional experience with AWS or similar clouds.
