Introduction

IBM Business Automation Workflow is a product that allows creating workflow applications to automate your business and thus improve your productivity. The workflow capability is also part of IBM CloudPak for Business Automation, a platform offering that comprises various business automation capabilities that you can use to digitize all aspects of business operations including gaining real-time insight into your business.

The development team in BÖblingen is part of IBM's worldwide business automation organization.

Engineers of our team work in an agile development environment, and are responsible for the full software development life cycle - ranging from designing and implementing new product features through testing and supporting customers world-wide in continuous delivery process.

Your Role and Responsibilities

Our development teams in BÖblingen are looking for a skilled developer with focus on back-end development, however, not excluding front-end skills.

Your main responsibilities include:

1. Designing and implementing new features
2. Optimizing and maintaining existing code
3. Ensuring the software meets high-quality standards through testing
4. Working closely with other teams in the world-wide team

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

1. Strong background in software development - back-end development and/or front-end development
2. Embrace the challenge of change and constant learning
3. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving techniques
4. Very good team player, but also able to work independently
5. German: fluent
6. Good knowledge in written and spoken English

Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise

1. Expertise in programming languages such as Python
2. Experience with version control systems e.g. git
