We are looking for a Team Coordinator General Ledger (m/f/d) for KWS Berlin who collaborates with the lead of the General Ledger to provide effective and highly efficient transactional processes. While achieving operational excellence through continuous improvement, the Team Coordinator ensures internal and external customer inquiries of transactional services are delivered in a competent and timely manner. The position is temporary (one year) for maternity coverage and in full-time at our location in Berlin.
Responsibilities:
Oversee the delivery of operational and administrative services to ensure they are executed in a competent and timely manner
Monitor and report on key performance indicators, taking proactive steps to address any deviations from targets
Identify opportunities for automation and digitalization and provide support for their implementation and realization
Translate departmental goals into actionable tasks, providing guidance and structure to facilitate their completion
Strive for operational excellence by continuously identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing appropriate measures
Evaluate and measure team and individual performance against set goals, providing constructive feedback and recognition where appropriate
Facilitate idea generation and decision-making among team members while promoting a positive, trustful, and collaborative atmosphere
Foster cross-functional cooperation and an efficient information flow between the Global Functions, GTC and Business Units
Ensure delivery of transactional GL services in accordance with the defined SLAs
Oversee financial statements according to IFRS and local GAAP
Liaise with auditors in the interim and yearly auditing process
Your profile:
Academic degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics or similar
Experience working in a Shared Service organization
Experience in coordinating teams and/or projects is preferred
Fluent in English, knowledge in any other language is an advantage
Experience in relevant IT systems (MS Office and SAP - preferably SAP R3 or S4)
Work experience with external auditors, especially one of the big fours
Operational leadership and decision making skills
Customer orientation and extraordinary service attitude
Optimistic and resilient person with a can-do attitude that loves to challenge the status quo and possesses the necessary analytical skills to recognize potentials as well as the structure to implement them
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
