We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager with expertise in medical device testing, specializing in biocompatibility, packaging, and microbiology testing services. This position is integral to driving growth and expanding TÜV SÜD’s footprint in the medical device testing market by building strong client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver value-driven solutions.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in business development or sales within the medical device testing industry, a deep understanding of regulatory requirements, and a solid technical background in biocompatibility, packaging, and microbiology testing. With a strong focus on customer-centricity and market expansion, the candidate will be responsible for identifying and engaging with key clients, driving revenue growth, and supporting the company’s mission to provide high-quality testing services that enable safe and effective medical devices to reach global markets.
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology, Biomedical Engineering, Life Sciences, or a related technical field is preferred. Advanced degrees (e.g., Master’s or MBA) in relevant fields are an asset but not required.
A minimum of 7+ years of professional experience in sales or business development, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets. Demonstrated expertise in medical device testing, particularly in biocompatibility, packaging, and microbiology testing services. Strong knowledge of ISO 10993, ISO 11607, and other relevant standards and regulatory requirements for medical device testing. Experience working with medical device manufacturers, regulatory agencies, or testing laboratories is highly desirable. Familiarity with strategic account management, consultative selling, and long sales cycles for technical services. Prior experience identifying and developing new business opportunities, managing a sales pipeline, and growing key accounts.
