Event Manager

You'll take full ownership of our event activities in Europe, focusing on the D/A/CH region in the beginning, creating an event strategy in alignment with marketing and sales goals, while building and nurturing relationships with vendors, event hosts, freelancers and partners.

Being an avid cyclist and/or passionate about the world on two wheels would really help you thrive in this role, but it is not a necessity.

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and execute event strategy: Drive a positive brand reputation and brand awareness across the DACH region (and additional European countries in a second step) by creating compelling experiences that resonate with diverse audiences.
2. Develop and own the yearly event plan and budget.
3. Lead and execute multi-channel experiences aligned with creative and strategic objectives for different events.
4. Build and lead the newly created Europe Event team.
5. Manage the entire event production process, including logistics, vendor management, budgeting, staffing, and on-site execution.
6. Build, maintain, and grow a robust national and international network of industry professionals, talent, service providers, and venues.
7. Develop, manage, and reconcile event budgets, ensuring all events are delivered within budget while maintaining high quality.
8. Negotiate contracts with vendors, suppliers, and venues to optimize costs.
9. Oversee the hiring and management of temporary staff for events as needed.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as creative, marketing, sales, brand partnerships, and PR to ensure successful event execution.
11. Partner with external clients to align with both internal and external brand guidelines.
