The Performance Improvement (PI) Manager – Northern Europe role is based in Sweden and Norway, with the final location to be decided. The position reports directly to the Head of Operational Excellence for Europe/AMWA CCA. This position has become available due to the promotion of the previous position holder.
This is an excellent development opportunity to gain multi-site and multi-product management experience, as well as become an essential conduit for the flow of good practices across Heidelberg Materials.
YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE
- The Performance Manager for Northern Europe will be one of the leaders of CCA with a clear goal of developing a performance culture in the aggregates business.
- Assist in enhancing the technical competence and operational excellence of our organization, working closely with country management (General and Regional Managers, Technical and Sales Directors and site managers).
- Plan, communicate and lead quarry optimization visits with participation of operations, Quality Control, Commercial and logistics teams in both Sweden and Norway and help other PI Managers in Europe.
- Help with the implementation of digital tools to improve business performance.
- Coordinate and deliver training in Northern Europe and other European countries.
YOUR PROFILE
- University degree, preferably in Mining Engineering or related field qualifications.
- At least 5 years’ experience of aggregates management in a high level operational role including at least 3 years in a direct quarry management role.
- Fluent in English - Knowledge of Swedish/Norwegian/other European languages is a plus.
- Excellent communication and project management skills and the strong desire to work alongside and support our line management with all aspects of Performance Improvement.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience in preparation of reports and presentations.
- Willingness to travel on a frequent basis.
