Team / Division Overview

As a Risk Manager or a Senior Risk Analyst, depending on the relevant working experience, you will be responsible for the assessment, control and governance of investment risks taken within illiquid alternative funds and separately managed accounts, with a focus on private debt products. In your role, you will oversee market, counterparty, credit, and liquidity risks including ESG/sustainability risk factors. You will be instrumental in advancing the risk management framework while supporting growth initiatives within a focus region for the firm.

Role Details

As a Risk Manager/Senior Risk Analyst, you will:

1. Perform risk & valuation analyses on portfolio holdings for varying funds/mandates across illiquid alternative within an experienced team covering private debt products, including RE debt, infrastructure debt and corporate debt.
2. Contribute to the integration of Climate Risk and Sustainability Risk in the Risk Management Framework for illiquid Investment Strategies.
3. Evolve risk models and procedures to adapt to new local laws and regulations.
4. Conduct periodic portfolio reviews, model validations, policy updates, procedure enhancement and risk reporting.
5. Represent Investment Risk in regional fora.

We are looking for:

1. (Advanced) degree in Economics, Finance or Quantitative fields.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in the asset management industry, preferably in a risk management or front-office role.
3. Experience with illiquid asset underwriting and risk assessment.
4. Technical knowledge of financial markets, valuation methodologies and risk models (e.g., DCF, Multiple Approach, VaR, and stress testing).
5. Knowledge of debt markets and pricing concepts, preferably with experience in debt origination or credit analysis.
6. Sound knowledge of core risk management concepts, asset management and the regulatory framework with a focus on Luxembourg.
7. Understanding of key drivers of alternative asset classes with a focus on debt markets.
8. High motivation, ability to be multi-tasking, innovative approach to problem solving.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate complex topics proactively and effectively facilitating decision making.
10. Strong team player, pro-active attitude, and high level of initiative.
11. Industry certifications are a plus (e.g., CFA, FRM, CAIA).
