Job Purpose
As the EMEA Internal Control and Compliance Manager, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the organization’s internal control systems and compliance framework within the assigned region. Supporting the Head of Internal Control and Compliance, you will ensure adherence to corporate compliance standards, foster a culture of integrity, and contribute to effective risk management practices.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Compliance Program Implementation: Collaborate with the Head of Internal Control and Compliance to adapt and roll out global compliance strategies across the region.
- Internal Control Monitoring: Conduct regular reviews of internal control systems, identifying risks, and ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
- Compliance Reporting: Document, analyze, and report on compliance activities, findings, and follow-up actions to the Head of Internal Control and Compliance.
- Policy Enforcement and Guidance: Support regional teams in understanding and applying compliance policies by providing guidance and practical assistance.
- Training and Awareness: Lead training sessions and initiatives to improve understanding of internal controls and compliance requirements within the region.
- Risk Assessment Support: Assist in identifying, prioritizing, and mitigating regional risks, providing insights and updates to leadership.
- Collaborative Coordination: Share insights, best practices, and ensure uniformity in compliance efforts by working closely with other regional managers and the Head of Internal Control and Compliance.
- Regulatory Monitoring: Stay updated on local regulatory changes and assess their impact on compliance practices, ensuring the organization remains proactive and compliant. Close collaboration and exchange of information with internal auditors.
- Support initiatives and/or contribute to other internal activities.
Qualifications and Education:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Law, or a related discipline.
- Experience: At least 5 years in internal controls, compliance, controlling, risk management, or similar fields.
- Skills and Competencies:
- Strong understanding of internal controls and compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical thinking and keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency in compliance tools and software.
- Strong organizational skills to manage dual responsibilities effectively.
- Very good know-how of SAP FICO module and any other ERP are a plus.
- Fluent in English - German and any other language is an advantage.
- Willingness to travel globally approx. 40%.
- International work experience, preferably in a listed company.
- Experience with data analytics and audit management software is a plus.
