Why We Need Your Talents:

Acts as a marketing extension of MLC and as its representative both in image and in service. Provides hospitality and service to guests in Sushi 8 restaurant. Responsible and accountable for all aspects of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage sales and service to guests throughout Sushi 8 and LukFu. The focus shall always be to consistently deliver exemplary guest services to every guest; every time in a timely manner, exhibiting a can-do attitude and the “It Factor”. If you have the “It Factor”, we want you as an Asian Bar Entertainer.

Compensation: $15.00/hr and tips

Responsibilities

Where You'll Make an Impact:

• Provide entertainment by greeting and interacting with guests.
• Maintain an attractive appearance and model an appealing brand image.
• Model for photos with guests or other photo shoots to be used in print and promotional advertising for LukFu Sushi 8 lounge.
• Regularly market Live! Casino & Hotel through social media according to brand standards for LukFu Sushi 8 lounge.
• Responsible for all aspects of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage sales.
• Ensure consistent quality of products.
• Prepare beverages with a sense of quality and flair to enhance the guest experience.
• Responsible for setting up bars.
• Handle all cash transactions.
• Conduct opening and closing inventories of all stock.
• Take orders from guests and return these orders accurately and in a timely manner.
• Keep the area clean and orderly.
• Have knowledge of guest limitations and company policy regarding limitations.
• Ensure guests receive a favorable dining experience.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Skills You'll Need to Succeed

• Ability to communicate in English and fluently in another Asian language (Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, etc.).
• Knowledge of alcoholic beverages; portray an “ask me” image with knowledge.
• Ability to upsell and recommend products to guests.
• Ability to read, write, and understand basic instructions in English.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Ability to make change from sales.
• Ability to reconcile and balance sales at the end of the shift.
• Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity.
• Demonstrable ability to entertain bar guests within socially appropriate standards.
• Knowledge of bar equipment, ABC laws, and gaming regulations.
• Able to handle situations arising from intoxication.
• Ability to communicate with all departments and team members.
• Knowledge of sanitation and health regulations for safe handling of alcohol.
• Ability to perform job duties in a fast-paced environment under time pressures.
• Knowledge of bar operations.

A Few Must Haves

• A high school diploma or GED equivalent is preferred.
• Completion of professional bartending training desired; mixology training is a plus.
• Six (6) months to one (1) year experience as a bartender in a high-volume operation.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Alcohol Beverage Control card.
• Must comply with all state gaming regulations, which may include obtaining a license.

Physical Requirements

• Standing and walking for the duration of the shift.
• Ability to handle multi-tasking heavy work, exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and up to 30 pounds frequently.
• Ability to climb, bend, stoop, squat, stretch, twist, or reach with your body and arms, working under variable temperatures and noise levels.
