Role Overview

As a Senior Product Designer at Ververica, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience and interface of our enterprise-grade data streaming solutions. You will work closely with the lead of UI/UX Design, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to deliver intuitive, visually compelling, and highly functional designs that enhance usability and adoption.

Responsibilities

1. Lead the end-to-end design process, from research and ideation to prototyping and final UI designs
2. Conduct user research, usability testing, and data-driven analysis to understand customer needs and pain points
3. Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, engineering, and marketing teams to define and refine product requirements
4. Develop wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs that align with Ververica's brand identity and product vision
5. Advocate for user-centric design decisions and contribute to a design culture of experimentation, feedback, and continuous improvement
6. Maintain and enhance a scalable design system to ensure consistency across Ververica's product suite
7. Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation within our products

Requirements

1. 5+ years of experience in UX/UI or product design, preferably in data-driven platforms
2. Strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end design processes, user research, and impactful UI/UX solutions
3. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Principle, After Effects, or Lottie
4. Experience conducting user research and translating insights into actionable design solutions
5. Strong understanding of usability principles, accessibility, and responsive design
6. Ability to work in an agile environment and iterate quickly based on feedback
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
8. Knowledge of data visualization in the context of real-time stream processing and experience designing for technical audiences is a plus
