Accounting Manager – Merchandise (m/f/d)

Our Merchandise Accounting Team is part of ABOUT YOU Finance and is responsible for accurately recording all business transactions in accordance with HGB and IFRS – serving as the foundation for internal and external reporting requirements. The team also manages financial accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and merchandise accounting, while continuously driving the digitalization and optimization of accounting processes.

As an Accounting Manager – Merchandise (m/f/d), you will take ownership of key processes within accounts receivable, accounts payable, and financial accounting. You will ensure compliance with proper accounting standards and independently drive process improvements. In processing business transactions, you will be supported by our accounting team.

Responsibilities

• Managing and optimizing key processes within accounts payable and financial accounting
• Project and interface management of our ERP and accounting systems (Salesforce, NAV18, SAP 4HANA)
• Assisting in the preparation, accounting, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements according to HGB and IFRS
• Coordinating internal departments (especially Controlling, Tax, Internal Audit) and external auditors

Requirements

• Degree in business administration or an apprenticeship as an accountant
• Several years of experience in accounting, auditing, or tax advisory
• Proficiency in ERP systems, ideally experience with SAP R3 (FI/CO) and/or Microsoft Dynamics NAV
• Strong IT affinity and excellent MS Office skills
• High analytical abilities and enjoyment of complex tasks
• Independent, proactive working style with strong communication skills
