Your responsibilities

• As part of the management team of thyssenkrupp Materials Trading GmbH, you report directly to the CEO of the company and are responsible for the success of the operational business activities with revenue accountability of approximately 1 billion EUR
• In your role, you take responsibility for specific areas in the raw materials and steel trade within the EMEA region and promote successful cross-regional collaboration with local hubs in Asia and the Americas
• You identify growth opportunities, ensure the efficiency and profitability of business activities, and implement effective risk management
• You lead a high-performing team of around 80 employees, consisting of traders and back-office staff
• Transparent communication of corporate goals and strategies, along with the establishment of clear performance standards and expectations, reflect your leadership capabilities
• You foster a culture of appreciation, create a motivating work environment, and actively promote employee development
• At all times, you adhere to country-specific and company-internal compliance requirements as well as legal regulations

Your Profile

• You have several years of experience in commodity trading (raw materials and finished products) or trading of financial products in a leadership role, such as Managing Director, Sales Director, Sales Manager, or in Risk Management
• You have in-depth knowledge of risk hedging and stay up to date with current market developments, and country-specific market regulations
• You enjoy international collaboration and have proven intercultural competencies as well as negotiation skills
• Your leadership qualities are characterized by cooperation, motivation, and assertiveness, always acting with respect and as a role model
• You remain calm and composed even in challenging situations, demonstrate strong negotiation skills and are confident in communicating with internal and external stakeholders at various levels
• In addition to a high level of self-motivation, you exhibit strong performance orientation combined with reliability
• You are willing to relocate to Germany, open for international business trips, and fluent in written and spoken English
